The 1st National Summer School in Sanskrit Computational Linguistics-2025 (NSS-SCL-2025) is scheduled at the Department of Sanskrit, University of Delhi, Delhi, from May 26th to June 10th, 2025. The school's primary goal is to introduce participants to the basic concepts of Sanskrit Computational Linguistics and contemporary research within the domain of Sanskrit Computational Linguistics and Language Technology. The summer school is designed to be project-oriented, along with hands-on training, lecture series, presentations, and demonstrations. Instructors will provide an overview and introduction to several topics in line with the theme to inculcate the basic concepts of SCL. All the participants will choose a project at the beginning of the school and be mentored during the two weeks. The project's outcome will be demonstrated and presented on the concluding day of the summer school. Sub-themes of the School:
Format of the Summer School:The Summer School revolves around a small project. Each day, lectures occupy the first half of the day, where participants are introduced to the concepts and/or tools necessary for the project. Afterwards, participants should work on the project while interacting with mentors. Who can participate:
This summer school is open to students (UG/PG) and researchers with a basic understanding of linguistics or Sanskrit.
